"I felt that being part of this project pushed my creativity and made me think outside the box. I was very shy as a person, and my participation with the Committee allowed me to come out of my shell. Today, I don’t hesitate when I have to express myself in public. I enjoy group work and engaging with others. I feel part of something. I got here thanks to the leadership, public speaking and communication trainings I was lucky to benefit from with this project. I rarely had these types of opportunities throughout my education whether it was in high school or university; they didn’t give much importance to soft skills and personal development, it was only about academics. I feel this strength that I built will positively impact the people around me, especially in my work as a mid-wife where effective communication is very important".
