After carefully studying the local needs in the region, the Syr Youth Committee finalized the first Quick Impact Project by UTOPIA which consisted in renovating Syr El Danniyeh’s old souk. The market's rehabilitation, which is a community-based solution, aims to strengthen efforts in protecting and safeguarding the cultural heritage in Syr and providing access to safe, inclusive, and accessible public spaces, particularly for women and children, older persons, and persons with disabilities. 

The inauguration event included local products exhibitions, recreational activities for children and scout shows, and was attended by municipality representatives, community representatives and local residents.
