“I was elected by my colleagues to be part of the administrative committee, holding the position of communication focal point and managing the social media accounts of the committee. I participated in conducting a needs assessment for the youth of Ras Baalbek. Our youth committee visited the municipality and the influential people to get their input for the needs assessment, and I liked that very much. Now we are working on the issue of advocacy, and I’m linking my role in preparing the material for the campaign, and taking part in developing a project concept and putting an action plan. This experience is empowering me on a personal level, and pushing me to achieve my own goals; Now, I can stand in front of people, I am no longer afraid as before. What makes me happier is serving the community where I live, and serving my country Syria in the future when I return to rebuild it, enriched by my experience within this project.”
